Abbey Vets was originally established in 1978 when practice principal Tony Duffy opened the doors of his first small veterinary practice in Thurscoe – a small village between Barnsley and Doncaster. In 1980 the practice was moved to Barnsley and over the years has developed into the centre that it is today, offering an array of services including a 24 hour emergency facility.

The Barnsley Centre now treats over thousands of patients from the local community, and our vets regularly see a diverse collection of pets including rabbits, dogs, cats, birds and tortoises.
